Flowers and a ball, what more do you need?

For this layout, I have to admit, I chose colors that are not usually my favorites. However, the combination of having these pretty papers, and photos that just demand such colors... Well, that was a very good reason to go for it:)
Here's my layout:

The photo template is, as usual, a Kerri Bradford one... I just love how I can fit so many photos into one page. The pp are all from the SC February kit and add-on pp.

The title is stamped. I got the set with the big letters at Michael's in the US, I threw away the package, so I'm sorry to say I have no idea what company it is... The "Haifa, Israel" was stamped with this set from the SC add on kit. The date was stamped with a different font. Inks used for the stamping: PTI Autumn Rose, Hero Arts Wet Cement (love that color) and Hero Arts Soft Brown.
I used the Martha Stewart Pansy border punch on the green pp.
Finishing touches with October Afternoon label stickers, MME stickers, Life Tiny Text from Cosmo Cricket, epoxi stickers from SC February main kit, SC label stickers and scrap pad (I do think the ones I used are no longer available, but there are very similar ones) and Crate Paper brads (on sale now at 2peas).

Hello SC February kit

It seems like the kit took forever to get here this month! Though that might have to do with the fact that I was especially curious and excited to get it:) The kit features some great stuff, the most talked about at the moment is the Dear Lizzy Collection from American Craft. What can I say... It's really pretty. Right there on the edge of being almost to pastel or floral (for me anyway), but still really pretty and cute. I especially like the light taupe colors. My biggest problem is this page-

Why oh why did they have to put these two great patterns together?? The obvious solution is to buy double the amount (no problem there), but it's still hard to choose... Oh well, just a peek into the hard life of a scrapbooker...

OK, so now to my layout. I used of course the SC February kit. Besides the main kit I got the Stepping Stone add-on and the add-on pp. yum.

I took a strip from the MME paper that came in the Add-on pp, and matted my photos on it. The larger photo was matted on the A-side of the same paper. I used the trim by Pink Paislee from the main kit as a border around that strip. And of course I misted everything around me with the SC Mr. Huey's white (on the trim I also used a bit Cameo and Clay) and October Afternoon spray in Buttermilk. The journaling cards are just cut outs from the Dear Lizzy pp. I used the Notebook Fiskars punch for the pink paper and used the super great alpha stamp set from Stepping Stone to create my title. The outlines were stamped with Latte ink by Hero Arts and the "filling" with  Hero Arts Shadow inks in Soft Lilac and Soft Blosson.

The flowers were cut from the same pp I used before, with this Hero Arts set. The buttons that match so nicely are from the Basic Grey Little Black Dress collection.
The clouds were punched out with these Fiskars punches ( I use them very often). I also used the epoxy stickers that came with the main kit, and the "&" is from the Thickers. To give the page a frame I used a white jel pen to draw a simple line around it.

White is soooo pretty!

This is my first winter in Europe (living here, not just visiting as a tourist), so I still get very excited about all the snow here... And my excitment always leads to... Lots of photos! Here are a few from the last week, which was just lovely! The pictures were all taken in the town center (Graz), early in the morning, before the snow was distrubed by the people, the cars and the very welcomed sunshine:)

Sorry I haven't posted more layouts, I'm hoping to throw myself right back into scrapbooking very soon (and biting my nails waiting for the february SC monthly kit and add-ons to arrive... Can't wait!).

Just an Ordinary Day...

And... back to family photos! Who am I kidding, I love making layouts with my family photos. Only problem is, I can't keep up with myself - taking way too many photos all the time...
So for this layout, I used a 8.5*11 inches template from Kerri Bradford. The rest, no big surprise there, is from the SC January kit-County Fair.

I used this punch to create a border on the right side of the photos, I think it looks really cute with that green letter pp.
On the left side of the page I went into an embossing frenzy, using these sets of stamps by Ali Edwards. I think the white embossing really pops from that lovely dark red grid pp.

I used the washi tape that came with the SC January main kit to frame the page on the top and bottom.
I misted the page with this lovely October Afternoon mist called Buttermilk, I think this and the white SC Mister Huey's are my favorites, they just make everything look a little bit better.
As usual, I used lots of label stickers from October Afternoon. The cute blue brad at the top right is from this Crate paper brads set. The buttons are from the last two SC kits.
On the big blue button, I used grey mini brads from Basic Grey, the Little Black Dress collection, instead of the usual string/twine. Some added final touches with Tim Holtz's tiny attacher, and fabric stickers from Amy Tangerine-and that was that!
