Scrapbooking with the Scraptastic February kit- Part 5

Today I'll be sharing more layouts made with the February Scraptastic kit, Feel Again. I have to admit that I found the February kit slightly more challenging to use than January's. I'm not even sure why. The papers were gorgeous, but I like layering, and somehow I had some difficulty finding combinations that looked good to me. Hmmm. The result is that I feel many of my layouts this month look similar. This is not a real problem, and I don't scrapbook chronologically, so the layouts will go into different albums, but I love variety, and I love mixing it up, so I guess that's what I missed this month.
Anyway, here's the first layout for today-

This is a super simple layout, just a few patterned papers and some die cuts from Fancy Pants. All from the kit and add on.

The layout is about my daughter's latest food crush, running sushi. We live right next to a relatively small town in Austria. The local food is excellent, but the Asian food is somewhat lacking. This running sushi place (and others) have the weirdest things sometimes, like those chocolate deserts (they're called Schwedenbomben here), that you can buy in any supermarket. Before writing that it has no connection to Japan I checked in Wikipedia, and although this "Chocolate coated marshmallow treat" is known for many years in many countries in Europe and North America, it's not exactly typical asian food. Aaaaaanyway, it's just one of a few weird things found on the local running sushi conveyor belts.

The Thickers that came in the add on were not the right color for this layout, so I used a copic marker to make them redder.
I wrote my journaling in English on this layout for some reason. I almost always write in Hebrew, although I'm thinking it's very possible generations to come will not necessarily know how to read it now that I live in Austria... Food for thought. I can't see myself journaling in German in the near future, that language is far from coming to me naturally at this point, but I might switch to English...

Second layout for today-

I love that background paper, and I love that photo I took in a Cafe in Jerusalem, and I think they match in a lovely way. I've been in many Cafes, in many countries and many cities. To me, Jerusalem's Cafes have the most ambiance. Something about those old stone houses, curved ceilings and arched windows maybe. I lived in Jerusalem for 4 years during my studies, and I just loved it. That controversial-complicated-terror-and-war-stricken-holy city definitely has a special place in my heart.

Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!
