Scrapbooking with Lindy's Stamp Gang Flat Fabios+Process Video

During January I was playing a lot with all my mists, in the hopes of using them more, because I have so many... What happened was that I did use them more, and still do, but I loved it so much I had to get some more... And I wanted to try something new, to me at least. I discovered mists made by a company called Lindy's Stamp Gang.
I think the reason I didn't know about them earlier, is that they seem to be used for a very different style than mine. There are lots of videos on YouTube with them in use, including Lindy's own channel that has loads of projects. I saw and read such great reviews that I wanted to try them myself.
When you order them they arrive without the water in the spray bottle (just the pigment powder), which makes the package light and eliminates any spillage risk. You just have to fill it with water. There's a video on YouTube showing exactly how to do that (it's very simple), and they recommend using hot water, filling it half way, letting it sit for a while, and then fill it all the way (there's a line on the label that shows exactly where to stop). Just to clarify, I have no connection to the company, just writing my impressions and sharing the joy:)
I've made two orders directly from their online store, but I've seen some of their products at Simon Says Stamp as well. Both times shipping and handling was quite fast (I'm in Europe), and orders were shipped out just a couple of days after placing the order.
They have many products, different sprays and two toned embossing powders. For my style I went with the sprays.
The sprays. The sprays are awesome. The matte sprays are called Flat Fabios, and they are just pigment, no shimmer. They spray beautifully and the colors are gorgeous. My current favorites are Hibiscus Rose (a gorgeous vibrant hot pink), Mango Mania (lovely vibrant dark orange) and Ocean Breeze blue (perfect teal-aqua shade). For a neutral I'm loving I'm Late I'm Late Slate ( muted warm grey, just beautiful).
And then there are the shimmery ones. Oh, my. They are called Starburst. I love these for paint splatters on my pages. They look great on any papers, they are quite opaque. I used some on hot pink cardstock, and loved the result (here's a link to that post, it's the second layout there). They are loaded with shimmer (so you have to shake them before each use, unlike the matte ones) and the colors are so vibrant. Favorite shades at the moment (tough to choose!)- TiffanyLou Blue (turquoise with turquoise shimmer), Ramblin' Rose Pink (warm pink with pink shimmer), Hottie Patottie Hot Pink (with pink shimmer), California Poppy Gold (light orange or an orangy yellow  with gold shimmer) and the surprising Yellow Rose of Texas (primary yellow with gold shimmer)- when I first tried it I thought it was too yellow, but it works great when I want some gold splatters on my page.
On the layout I'm sharing today I only used the Flat Fabios to color Color Magic die cuts by heidi Swapp.
Here's the layout (finally:))-

And the process video-

I'm all about color these last couple of weeks, and I love the pages that come out. Making such colorful layouts really lets me play with different media, patterned papers etc.

This page is all about those die cuts and misting. When I started it I had no idea what photos I would use, and after all the misting was done, those yellow sunglasses were whispering to me... Summer beach photos, for sure.

This is a great page for going crazy with those tiny embellishments, like enamel dots and my beloved puffy stickers.

I love these Heidi Swapp die cuts, because I don't have to be limited to the colors like with other die cuts. Need another mint one? No problem, just mist it and it's ready to use!
I hope you enjoyed this post and video, have a lovely scrappy Saturday and thanks for visiting!
