Scrap More- The Rainbow Series- Part 3
This time I decided to create a background with some spray paints and a stencil.
I chose this great Crafter's Workshop stencil (definitely one of my favorites, here's a link to the 6*6 version, I used the 12*12) and used Dylusions ink sprays in Pure Sunshine, Cherry Pie, Funky Fuchsia, After Midnight and Calypso Teal.
Here's the finished page-
I alternated the patterns I used from the stencil (circles then stars, then circles again and so on), and just covered the unwanted parts with scrap paper. I did want the different colors to slightly overlap, I think it creates a better flow, and just fits the messy look of the background.
I embossed some images from this Impression Obsessions stamp set (another favorite, just a very versatile set, and it also has a matching stencil again from The Crafter's Workshop!) with black embossing powder. Here's a picture of the set-
And some close-ups-
I love these black Thickers, they just look great with this kind of page.
The photo is a mini Polaroid I took a couple of years ago, of my daughter listening to some music. So I wrote down a couple of lists about her favorites, things she says etc. I used those great cards from Smash by K&Company, which I have to say, have been lying unused in my drawer for way too long. The colors are a great match to the Dylusions sprays. That cute polka dot pocket holds all the lists in place, yet still easily accessible.

I trimmed and matted the white cardstock on some older Doodlebug purple and orange patterned papers, and doodled a bit on them with a black pen to frame the page.
I think this is a really fun way to use spray inks in a few colors, and create a unique fast background.
Thanks for visiting!
This is awesome! I love the colours and stencilling. Great idea to emboss the stamp to make it pop against the background.
