Using 3*4 PL Cards on a 12*12 Layout-Part 3

I thought I'd post some more layouts using 3*4 cards for a "regular" 12*12 layout. This time I added a few elements, but still kept it very simple.
For the first layout, I just picked 8 cards that I liked. These cards are from the Seafoam PL core kit, I don't own it, I just got some extra cards from a friend, and wanted to get them on a page.
Here's the finished page:

I added a few details with Amy Tan's rub-ons from the Yes Please collection, and some Studio Calico wood veneer stars. And that was it!

For the second page I cut the cards to strips. I used the parts with the rounded corners to create a fun border around the page, and the straight ones as a central element to place my photo on.
Here's the finished page:

Before adhering anything to the page I drew a circle (using the other end of the spray pump) with black Mr. Huey, and added some splatters.

The page is a reminder to myself that the summer vacation is over, and my daughter is back in kindergarten, meaning I should really start studying German again... Somehow scrapbooking about it is just more fun:)
Thanks for looking!
